CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AT GGPS, BOKARO

In its unwavering pursuit of academic excellence and holistic development, Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Bokaro conducted a two-day Capacity Building Program with great reverence and scholastic zeal. The first day of this enriching journey commenced on 23rd June 2025 in the serene ambiance of the School Multipurpose Hall, where the ethos of Inclusive Education resonated with profound significance.
The session was orchestrated under the dynamic stewardship of Mr. Soumen Chakraborty, Principal, GGPS Bokaro, whose visionary leadership continues to illuminate the path of progressive education. The event was graced by the gracious presence of Mr. G.K. Mishra, In-Charge, Senior Wing, and Mrs. Suman Nangia,Vice-Principal, Middle Wing, Mr.Anand Prakash, STNC, GGPS who added further dignity to the occasion.
The inaugural ceremony was adorned with the sacred lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of enlightened perspectives. The ceremonial bouquet presentation and the eloquent welcome address by the Principal infused the gathering with warmth and enthusiasm.
The intellectual fabric of the program was richly woven by the esteemed Resource Persons—Mr. Joseph Edward Natal, Principal, Janey Academy, Hesalong, SYNC, an eminent Innovation Ambassador, and Mrs. Ria Mukherjee, HOD, English, and Coordinator, whose insights cast a radiant light upon the multifaceted dimensions of Inclusive Education.
With around 63 teachers from various esteemed schools actively participating, the program unfolded a compelling narrative on inclusion and exclusion, impairment, diagnosis versus labelling, behavioural challenges, mobility orientation, and a spectrum of disabilities including locomotor issues, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and mental health concerns.
The sessions brimmed with interactive activities, lively presentations, and creative demonstrations that not only showcased the participants' talents but also left an indelible impact on their professional consciousness. The vibrancy and energy throughout the day were truly sensational.
The stalwart leaders of the School Managing Committee, Shri Tarsem Singh, President, GGES, and Shri S.P. Singh, Secretary, GGES, lauded the initiative, remarking that such programs are pivotal in fostering the professional growth of educators and nurturing a more inclusive educational landscape.
The day concluded on a positive and reflective note, culminating with the resonant chords of the National Anthem, evoking unity and purpose among all present.
